Learning Piggy
HELP !! my older guinea-pig has learned my baby piggy bad manors?

here it is :

i had 2 guinea-pigs, both femail untill they had babies, :O.

the femail guinea-pig had 2 piggys, 1 girl, 1 boy, sadly we lost the mother and at 4 weeks the baby male started going crazy with the baby femail so we separated them

baby male with his dad and baby girl on her own(saddly)

well, my brother said he would love to have the baby male pig, but latley the older male has been showing him how to be a 'wild bore' n now hes as mad as the older male,
he bites the bars, knows over the bowl, screem loudly, clime the bars, and more manly behaver,

only problem is my brother is expecting a sweet piggy, and he's gonna get a monster, who loves apples

any1 had this before, or know who to carm them both down ?

older pig has just turned 1 year and baby male is 9 weeks on tuesday

the young male is growing up, and his hormones are raging, just like human boys, and this surge of hormones can make him misbehave. his harassment of the older boar is just him acting up like teenage human boys do. AND it can make older boars get a little rowdy, too. for the most part, older boars are good infuences on younger boys, teaching them how to behave like an adult guinea pig.

however, what you are describing hardly sounds like bad behavior for a guinea pig. while you should take into account what the others posters said about him asking you for attention or food, he is also just doing what he does best: being a guinea pig. if he was biting you or the other guinea pig, THAT would be bad behavior. this is a small animal. he is doing his job, hes not a monster. a hamster is a monster :)

We are so glad you came to look at our Learning Piggy information.
