Hamster Behavior

Hamsters are crepuscular animals. They are most active at dawn and dusk. In the wild, hamsters live underground during the day to avoid being caught by predators. Hamsters are ideal pets. They are gentle, cute, they love attention and are relatively easy to take care of. Hamsters will bite only if they are stressed, scared, or frightened. Female hamsters tend to be more aggressive than male hamsters. Hamsters are omnivorous. They eat grains, fruit, roots, leaves, meat and insects.
