go to gym before starting dance?
I have danced since I was around 4, got all the way up to competitive and was quite good. I got married, and had a baby and thought it was over, but one day of spontinaity, I decided to try split leaps, center leaps, and back attitude leaps, all sorts of turns and it turns out that I still got it! If I still have the talent, my question is, should I maybe go to the gym to bulk the muscle back up, or just start from the bottom and work my way up teaching my muscles dance again... ? I don't want to hurt myself, but I don't want to go in there with body builder muscle, and not dancers muscle.

Are you trying to become a professional dancer? If so, then I would start training both in the gym and in the dance studio immediately. If you are just doing it to get back into dancing in general(for your own sake) then I think that you could just start back up in the studios and you will quickly get back into shape if you keep at it. Dancing is wonderful exercise.
