Is it silly to buy a 2.5 mos. old Christmas gifts?
My husband and I bought our son four gifts. A chair (my husband picked this out..it's like a little fold out chair with a cup holder for babies. He has one just like it.) A LeapFrog Baby piano, a Winnie the Pooh electronic book and a bunch of different little things like the fresh food feeders, a set of plates, bowls, cups and spoons, new pacifiers, etc.. Anyway, I'm asking because my husbands cousin and his wife just had a baby, too. He's about a month younger than ours. We asked him what they were getting their baby for Christmas and they said nothing. That it was a waste of money and that I was just trying to spend money any way I could!

One more question. I REALLY want to get him the V-Smile for babies, but it's for 8mos+ and my husband thinks I'm silly. How can I convince him to let me buy it for him? He'll be 8mos before we know it!
Its not silly ... its your baby and you are the child's provider ... although your baby has no grasp on the concept of Christmas and gifts ... later on he will appreciate that you did celebrate his 1st Christmas (be sure to get him on film and video) How many of us remember our 1st - 3rd birthdays?? But I'd be upset if my parents did nothing for me. I have my pics to look at and they tell me about it and thats what counts ... the memories and the love.
