baby vole development and feeding?
Anyone have any idea on how to feed a nursing vole? I have 2 babies that I have had for 5 days. They had been eating with the "wick" system before, but now they have teeth. they are pulling on the rolled up toilet paper wick HARD! ripping pieces off, and swallowing them! Any ideas on what else I can use? I have tried paper towel, kleenex, string, rope, and the regular dropper. The TP was working fine until they started ripping it off! I even tried a q-tip with most of the fuzz ripped off!
They hate it all and will NOT eat from anything but the toilet paper and i tried bread soaked with milk, the big one loved it so much he almost killed himself, by choking. The small one said it was dumb. Help!!
Try using a small (10 cc) syringe. Any vet office should have them. That way you can also tell how much they're drinking.
